What is a contributor?
A contributor, in this instance, is someone who contributes information to The Michiana Parent website. Typically, this is in the form of writing an article for the blog.
We also appreciate other, more informal contributions. These might include sharing available area resources, giving us a heads up when our information is outdated, or letting us know about some cool spots to take the kids.
These can be one time slots or recurring slots. You choose!
We'd love to have someone to share inspiring stories, how tos, etc related to faith, spirituality, and religion. Some ideas for topics we think are relevant are:
- Spirituality after marriage or after kids
- Weekly devotionals
- Sharing faith with your children
- Blended faith marriage/relationships
If you've been to a local restaurant, family event, or something else we'd want to know about; we'd love to have you share with everyone your experience. What did you love? What did you hate?
We're currently ready to share any kind of birth story. So if you have an experience you'd like to share, we're ready to see it.
If you have something informative, funny, or relevant to share, then we'd love to share with the Michiana parents who follow our blog. Check out the topics we have listed and if you have something to add, then please help us out and write up an article. Don't see what you want to share listed? Pitch it to us anyway! Currently lacking articles in:
- Pregnancy & Trying to Conceive
- Single Parenting
- Things to Do
- Extended Family Relationshiops
What happens if I contribute?
If you want to be added as a regular contributor to The Michiana Parent, then you'll need to submit something bi-weekly for us to share. You'll also get special recognition as an author on the website.
Every contributor will have a blurb about themselves on their article and their welcome to share (reasonable) links to their own social media and blogs/websites/shops.
We also hope that Michiana locals can help other Michiana residents by sharing what they know. So, thank you!
